What is covered
Cover applies to theft with violence or intimidation. For a small additional premium, you can extend it to cover the same risk inside your home. That matters because many home policies only pay out if items were locked in a safe, or limit cover for anything outside one.

- Older or inherited items: a valuation from a reputable jeweller of high standing.
- Photos: a clear photo of each item with your mobile phone beside it, showing the date and time.

If your collection includes valuable jewellery, watches or designer handbags, you may also own a high-value or exclusive property that deserves a more specialist approach to home insurance. A detailed review may identify a more suitable policy that can provide comprehensive cover for your home while also allowing your valuable collection to be individually listed and insured within the same policy.
